John Powell and How to Train Your Dragon 2

The May and June issues of FSM Online feature my 60 minute interview with John Powell about his thrilling new score for 'How to Train Your Dragon 2'. John and I have much in common, not just our love of Vaughn Williams and brass playing but our fathers were friends and used to play at film, pop, jazz and classical concerts / sessions. Like this one. Other then being a terrific musician, John Powell is also refreshingly open and honest about many film music things. Here's a promo of our interview for a small taste.
